QUARK 20 S/S

Brief

Quark is a men's business casual brand originating in New York. Quark refers to the basic particles that make up a substance, and consists of basic products. Studio Kyclops planned a concept in the direction of Quark that wanted to be the most essential brand. Based on its brand's concept and content, Quark worked from the beginning of the brand with us. This 20 S/S is the first collection hosted by Quark to show closer theme of business casual. In particular, the basic products such as jeans, crewnecks, and jackets in various colors. They were produced inspired by image of Val Kilmer's Batman.

Approach

We took photos in a studio because of showing clear colors of them with five colors of crewnecks and jackets, and three colors of jeans. In order to create e-commercial, lookbook and editorial, we also planned to take photos in a photo studio to clearly capture five pastel tone colors of crewnecks.

The model was cast as the client wanted to show a similar feeling of Val Kilmer's Batman. Finally, we cast Clayton Nelson who had the way of strong looks but soft. To effectively visualize Val Kilmer, he looked smart through glasses and hairstyles. Also, he played a confident attitude through looking at the camera lens.
