STUDIO KYCLOPS X BRAVADO 18 S/S

Brief

Bravado is a merchandising clothing brand under Universal Music that produces goods from world-class artists such as Bob Marley, The Beatles, and Billie Eilish. Previous season projects were taken only in the studio. This didn't fit the global brand image at all, and client have been contacting Studio Kyclops to solve this problem. Bravado, who completely changed the brand image through successful collaboration at 17 F/W, wanted the 18 S/S project to bring more color and street elements of New York.

Approach

Studio Kyclops thought that skateboarding was the best representation of New York's cool feel and street elements, so we decided to use skateboarding in the overall art direction. The shooting location was proposed in the background of the lower east side skate park, the holy land of New York's famous skaters.

Studio Kyclops made a list of models that can ride skateboards, and among them, Keeon Scott, who feels that the atmosphere fits best with Bravado, was selected in consultation with the client. Even during this shooting, Studio Kyclops is an internal studio that takes charge of art directing and styling, providing a list of pants and shoes to suit the top, and showing the options to the client.

Result & Impact

Satisfaction was increased by direct model selection of the client. With the overall art direction of Studio Kyclops, such as the location and styling that the client wanted, the Bravado was able to produce a global project at a reasonable cost because it only needed to send clothes. The range of production is wider than before, with the use of e-commerce, look book, web, and social media.
